Being out here at No. 82/a in the Industrial Area off Neemuch Road means we deal with a lot of dust and trucks. The road gets quite busy during harvest time. Our building is a sturdy one, built to handle all the bags and crates moving through the doors. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There’s usually a truck idling outside or someone shouting instructions over the noise of the machinery. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in from the farms. The air smells like grain and earth most days. Inside, the floors are concrete and there are stacks of paperwork on the desks that never seem to get any smaller. We’ve known the neighbors for years, and we all help each other out when a truck gets stuck or a machine breaks down. The sun hits the front of the office pretty hard in the afternoons, so we keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. It’s a straightforward way of working. We don't spend much on decorations because we’re usually too busy moving stock around the warehouse. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back. It's just how life goes on Neemuch Road. We've seen the area grow quite a bit since we first opened up shop here. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, but it’s what keeps the place running day after day.
