Raj Computers

We have been sitting here in Chakkar for a few years now. The shop is right near the Kullu Manali National Highway, so we see a lot of traffic going past every single day. Most people find us because they are driving toward the hills or heading back down and their laptop starts acting up. It isn’t a very big place, just enough room for a few desks and all the spare parts we keep on the shelves. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but we try to keep things clean enough for the electronics. Most of our mornings start with a cup of tea and looking at whatever machines were left with us the evening before. People from around the neighborhood drop by mostly for small things, like a new mouse or getting a screen fixed. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we get things done. Some days it’s really quiet and we just sit and wait for the next person to walk through the door. Other times, like when the weather gets bad and everyone’s power trips, we get a lot of calls about desktops not turning on. It’s just how it goes here near the highway. We’ve seen the road change over time, but the shop stays pretty much the same. It’s a practical spot for anyone living around here who needs their computer looked at without having to travel too far into the main town.
