We are located over at Village Khali, which is a small spot near the Kumarhatti post office. Devshilla Hotels Private Limited is run right here in the Dharampur area of Solan. Ramesh Kumar is the one looking after things. If you know this part of Himachal, you know the roads can be a bit winding. We have been here for a while now. The air is different up here than it is down in the plains. It gets cold in the evenings, even in summer. Most people just pass through on their way to Shimla, but we stayed put. Khali is a quiet place. You can hear the birds early in the morning. Ramesh has lived in this area his whole life, so he knows every corner of Dharampur. Sometimes the mail takes a bit longer to reach, but that is just how it is in the hills. We handle the hotel work from this office. It isn't always easy keeping things running when it rains hard, but we manage. The hills of Solan have a way of making you slow down. We just go about our business day by day without much fuss.
