Tawakkal High School

Tawakkal High School is located right here in Ramakrishnapur. If you are from Mancherial, you probably know the area. We’ve been running this school for the local families for a while now. It’s a busy place from Monday to Saturday. The bell rings early and then the students start filing in. Most of them wear their uniforms, though some are always missing a tie or have messy hair. We have different floors for different classes. The rooms are basic. We have fans that hum all day, especially when it gets hot in the summer months. Teachers here spend a lot of time at their desks grading papers or talking to students who are struggling with their math or science. We don't have a giant campus, but there is enough room for the kids to hang out during lunch. They bring their tiffin boxes and share food under the shade. It’s a bit crowded sometimes, especially in the corridors when classes change. We try to keep the place clean, but with so many feet coming in and out, it's hard work. The building itself has seen better days, maybe a new coat of paint is needed soon. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the older kids are ready for their board exams. That’s the main thing people care about here. It's just a regular school doing its job for the neighborhood kids. Sometimes the electricity goes out, but we just carry on with the windows open for light.
