Gogi Reddy Sunitha Poultry Farms

Out here in Manchal, things are a lot slower than they are in the city. We are located at Survey Numbers 336 and 337 in Manchal Village. It is a wide open space with plenty of air, which is exactly what you need for a poultry farm. Our days start very early, usually before the sun is even up, because the birds don't wait for anyone. There is always a lot of cleaning to do and feed to move around. It is a physical job and you definitely get your hands dirty every single day. We have several long sheds where the chickens are kept, and we spend most of our time walking between them to check on things. Sunitha and the rest of the family are usually around helping out with the daily chores. It is quiet out here, mostly just the sound of the birds and the occasional tractor going by on the road. We don't have a formal office; we usually just talk to people out in the yard or near the gates. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains too hard and the paths get all muddy. But that is just part of living on a farm. We produce eggs and meat, and it is a lot of responsibility to keep the animals healthy. It is a plain, hardworking life, and we don't really know any other way to do it.
