Vikram College

If you’ve ever been to Chinthamani, you probably know where we are on Chelur Road. We are really close to the railway station, which is handy because a lot of our students come in by train every morning. You can hear the whistles from the station throughout the day while we are in class. It’s a college, but it doesn't feel like those big ones you see in the movies. It’s more of a local spot where people from the surrounding villages come to study. The building is right there on the main road, so it gets a bit dusty and noisy with the buses and trucks going by. We have some basic classrooms and a place for the students to hang out during their breaks. Most of the time, you’ll see groups of them standing near the gate or walking over to the tea stalls nearby. We don’t have any fancy decorations or high-tech setups, just the usual desks, chairs, and books. The staff here is pretty down-to-earth, and we mostly just focus on getting through the lectures and making sure everyone is ready for their exams. It’s a practical place for people who just want to get their degree and find a job. Life here revolves around the train schedule and the local rhythms of Chinthamani. We are just a regular college trying to help the local youth get somewhere in life without any big fuss or unnecessary polish or corporate vibes.
