Ykm Infotech is right there in Prem Vijay Nagar Colony in Malkajgiri. Our shop is at number 10-476. It is not a very big space, but we manage to fit a lot into it. We have shelves full of old motherboards, keyboards, and various bits of hardware that we might need someday. Most of our day is spent sitting at a workbench with a soldering iron or a screwdriver. People bring in their laptops when they stop working or when they get too slow. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find us in the colony. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with all the different machines people leave for us to fix. We have to label everything carefully so we don't mix up the chargers. The neighborhood is mostly families, so it’s pretty calm until the school nearby lets out. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the long hours. Sometimes we stay late to finish a repair for someone who needs their computer back for work the next morning. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation. We just like fixing things and seeing them work again. It’s a good way to make a living in Malkajgiri.
