Modern College Of Education is located out at Gram Ranwan, near the Khanpur post office in Malerkotla. It’s definitely in a more rural part of the Sangrur district. If you’re driving out this way, you’ll see a lot of open fields before you finally hit the college at number 10. It’s a quiet place, which is actually pretty good for a college environment. We don't have the constant noise of a big city, though the farm machinery can get pretty loud during the harvest time. The staff here are mostly local people who understand the Punjab countryside well. We spend our days managing the students and making sure the schedules are followed. It’s a lot of practical administrative work. The building is simple and doesn't have any of that modern glass and steel look you see in cities. It’s just brick and mortar. Sometimes we have issues with the internet or the power goes out for a bit, but we just deal with it like everyone else in the village. People around here know the college well by now. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or anything like that because word of mouth is how most people find us. It’s a steady kind of life. We show up, do the teaching, handle the paperwork, and go home to our families. Sangrur - 148023 is where we are, and we're happy staying out here where there is a bit of breathing room.
