Guru Harkrishan Public School

We have been running Guru Harkrishan Public School for quite some time now over on Malerkotla Road. It is just a regular place in Sangrur where local kids come to learn their lessons. The building isn't anything too fancy, but it does the job for the families living around here. Most mornings start with the sound of the school bus pulling up and parents dropping off their children before they head to work. We have an area where the students run around during their breaks, and yes, it gets a bit noisy when everyone is out there at once. The teachers here are from Sangrur, so they understand the local way of life. We focus on books and homework, though sometimes things get a bit hectic like in any other school. It is honest work. We deal with broken desks or leaky taps just like any homeowner would. The main road gets busy with trucks, so we keep the gates shut tight during the day. We have a small office where we handle the paperwork, and it's usually cluttered with files and old registers. We don't use computers for everything because the old way of writing things down in books still works for us. The playground has a couple of swings that have seen better days, but the kids still love them. We don't have a big staff, just enough to cover the subjects. Everyone knows their job and we just get on with it. It's a simple life here in Sangrur, and the school reflects that.
