Sita Grammar School

Our school is located on Ludhiana Road, right in Ward No. 26 of Melar Kotla in Malerkotla. If you are trying to find us, we are situated quite near the main bus stand. This makes the whole area very busy and loud throughout the day. There is almost always the sound of bus horns and heavy engines in the background while we are in class. The school building itself is an older brick structure that has been around for a long time. It has high ceilings and large windows that let in a good amount of light, though they also let in the street noise. We have a small front gate that usually stays open until the late afternoon. Inside, the rooms are filled with plain wooden benches and old blackboards. It feels like a very traditional kind of place to learn. We do not have any high-tech equipment or fancy gadgets here. Most of the teaching is done the old-fashioned way with books and talking. The teachers have mostly been with us for many years and they know the parents and grandparents of our students. Because we are so close to the bus stand, it is easy for people from further out to reach us, but the traffic can be a real struggle in the mornings. Our playground is just a small patch of dirt where the kids play during their breaks. It gets very dusty when the wind blows through the town. We have a simple water cooler in the hall that is always busy. It is a noisy, familiar part of the neighborhood for everyone.
