Up here in Vill-Bidyanandapur, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Sabuj Bahini Agro Producer Companylimited is basically just us villagers coming together to handle our crops and farming stuff. We are located at 01, Vill-Bidyanandapur, which is right in the Chanchal area. It’s a quiet place mostly, unless it’s harvest time and then everyone is out and about. We don’t have a big office building or anything like that. We usually meet up at the main house or under a tree if the weather is nice. Our families have been farming this soil for generations, so it felt right to put a name to what we do. It’s not always easy, especially when the monsoon is too heavy or the seeds don’t take well. But we stay at it. We talk about the market prices and try to help each other out when someone’s tractor breaks down or if a field needs extra hands. It’s not a corporate thing at all, just a group of us trying to make a living from the land. Chanchal is our home, and we like it that way. If you ever come through Bidyanandapur, you’ll probably see us working in the fields or sitting by the roadside after a long day. We don’t have much in the way of brochures or fancy talk. We just know our plants and our seasons. It’s a basic life, but it’s what we know best and what we do every day.
