Shomaz Fashion Gallery is tucked away in Urdu Bazar Lane, right near the Barichak Masjid. It is a local spot in the Barichak area. The lane can be narrow, so you have to watch your step when you come to visit. We have been here for a while now. The shop is small and filled with different things we have collected or made. It is not a big department store. It is just a gallery where we put things out for people to see. Being near the masjid means we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which is a nice part of our routine. We are not very corporate here. Mostly, it is just us sitting and working or talking to neighbors who drop by. We keep the place open most days. Sometimes we close a bit early if things are slow. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We focus more on what is on the shelves than how the building looks. Barichak is a good place for a business like ours because people are always walking through the lane. We don't use a lot of big words or fancy talk. We just show you what we have and let you decide for yourself. It is a simple way to run a shop, and we wouldn't have it any other way. It feels like home here. We like the people and the quiet moments between visitors.
