Zebin Cafe

Zebin Cafe is located at number 21 in Melmuri, Malappuram. It’s a simple place where we serve coffee and some snacks to whoever walks in. The shop isn't very large, just enough for a few tables and the counter where I stand. In the mornings, I spend time getting the kitchen area ready and making sure the water is hot. Melmuri is a nice enough area, and we get a lot of the same faces coming in every day. We don’t have a big staff, so I end up doing a bit of everything, from brewing the coffee to cleaning the tables after someone leaves. The walls are pretty plain, and we don’t have any fancy music playing. Mostly you just hear the sound of the traffic outside or the clatter of plates. Sometimes the weather in Malappuram gets really humid, and we just keep the doors wide open to catch any breeze. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find anything complicated. We just make the usual stuff that people expect. I keep a notebook to track what we need to buy for the next day, like milk or sugar. It’s a quiet kind of life, just running a small cafe and chatting with the neighbors when they have a minute to spare. It’s just a basic local shop at its core, keeping things moving.
