Sri Manjunatha Coffee Work

We’ve been here at 7-5-745 for quite a while now. Most people know us because we’re right near Malapuram Gold, which helps them find the place when they are coming down Ford Arakaladut. It’s a busy spot. The shop itself isn't much to look at from the outside, but the smell usually tells you where we are. We spend most of the morning roasting and grinding. It gets pretty loud when the machines are going full tilt. Sometimes we have to shout just to hear each other over the noise. People stop by for their usual bags, and we recognize most of them by sight. It’s just a regular routine we’ve got going. We don’t do anything fancy here, just the work that needs doing. Sometimes the weather makes the beans act a bit different, so we have to watch the temperature closely. It’s a bit of a dusty job, and by the end of the day, there is coffee powder on almost everything we own. My hands usually smell like coffee even after I wash them twice. We open up early because that is when the air is still cool. Once the sun gets high, it gets quite warm inside the workspace. We just keep the doors open and let the breeze through to keep us from sweating too much while we are working at the roaster. It’s a simple life running a place like this in this part of town. We just try to get the orders ready for whoever comes through the door.
