Spare Technic International

We are based in the V.V. Complex along Calicut Road. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you’re driving through that way. The shop is filled with all kinds of spare parts for different machines and vehicles. Most of the time, the counters are covered in catalogs and little bits of metal. It gets pretty dusty because of all the traffic outside on the main road, so we’re always wiping things down. My brother and I run the place, and we’ve learned a lot about what parts fail most often just by listening to the people who come in. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people usually just hear about us from someone else in the trade. It’s a small operation, really. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to track down odd pieces that aren't in stock. If we don't have it, we try to figure out who does. Sometimes the coffee gets cold because we get caught up looking for a specific bolt or a gasket. The lights in the back of the complex are a bit dim, so we use a torch to find things on the high shelves. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know the inventory well enough to help out anyone who stops by. We’ve been on Calicut Road for years, so we’re not going anywhere soon.
