We operate out of Vadakkangara House in Payyanad, which is near Manjeri in Malappuram. Kerala is a beautiful place, and being here in this part of the district keeps us connected to everything happening around us. News Today is our little way of keeping track of things. It’s not a big media house with fancy cameras, bright lights, and a news desk. It’s more of a home-grown effort. We talk to people, hear their stories, and try to write down what’s going on in the local area. Sometimes it’s about a local event, other times it’s something bigger that affects everyone here. The office is really just a room where we can sit and type without too much noise. It’s often quiet, except for the birds outside or the sound of the rain during the monsoon season. We don't have a big staff. It's just a few of us who care about what happens in Malappuram. We don't use big words or try to be flashy with our headlines. We just want to tell it like it is. People know where to find us if they have something to share. Being in Payyanad means we aren't stuck in a city center, which we like. It feels more real this way. We just keep our ears open and our pens ready. It’s a simple life but an important one for us and the neighbors. We do what we can to keep people informed.
