Down on Calicut Road in Angadipuram, you can find us at LEO Scales & Services. We’ve been at number 8 for some time now. Our day usually involves a lot of heavy lifting and fiddling with small parts. Weighing scales are funny things; they have to be just right, or they aren't worth much at all. We spend our time checking sensors and making sure the displays are working like they should. The shop is right on the main road, so we get a lot of dust from the passing trucks and buses. It’s not the cleanest job, but we don't mind getting our hands dirty. We have all kinds of scales sitting around, some big ones for shops and smaller ones too. People from around Angadipuram bring their equipment in when it stops working, and we do our best to get it back to them quickly. It's a practical business. We don't have a big marketing department or any of that. It's just a few of us who understand how these machines work. The Calicut Road is always busy, so there's never a dull moment. Sometimes we’re out back working on a repair, and other times we’re up front talking to a customer. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the scales are doing their job. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, even when the rain is coming down on the roof.
