About Amana Paper Bags – Industrial Plant & Machines in Malappuram
We are based out in Pantharangadi Post, which is in the Tirurangadi Taluk area. It’s a bit of a quiet place, which is nice for a change. We started making paper bags here because there was a need for something better than plastic. Our setup isn't anything fancy. It’s basically a large room filled with rolls of brown paper, glue, and some folding machines. Most of the work is actually done by hand because we like to make sure the handles are on tight. You’ll usually see stacks of finished bags ready to be shipped out to local shops and markets. It gets pretty dusty with all the paper around, and the smell of the glue is something you just get used to after the first week. We aren't a big industrial operation with thousands of employees. It’s just a small group of us here in the village working together. We don’t have a big mission statement or a fancy office. We just make bags. Some days are slow and we just chat while we work, and other days we are rushing to finish a big order for a festival or a wedding. We try to keep our prices fair so the local shopkeepers can afford to switch away from plastic. It’s a steady, quiet kind of business. People around Tirurangadi know where we are if they need a batch of bags made up. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy.
