Global Fabrication

Global Fabrication is situated in Kizhakkethala right on Pandikkad Road. We are in a very busy spot because the bus stand is just opposite us and Korambayil Hospital is nearby too. There is always a lot of movement and noise from the buses and the people walking past the shop window. Our workshop is filled with the smell of cut iron and the sound of hammers hitting metal throughout the day. We do a lot of different fabrication jobs depending on what walks through the door. It might be a small bracket for a house or a large gate for a compound. The floor is concrete and always has some bits of metal shavings on it. We work through the humidity which can be quite heavy around here. It is not a place for someone who likes to stay clean but we enjoy the process of building things from scratch. We have a few welding sets and a big cutting machine that takes up a lot of space in the back. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit but that is just part of living in this area. People stop by to ask for prices and we just give them a straight answer based on the material and the time it takes. It is a practical business run by people who know their way around a welding torch. We just keep at it in Kizhakkethala. We close up when the street gets dark.
