Al-Ameen Central School

Al-Ameen Central School is located in the Peringode area, specifically in Koottanad, within the Palakkad district. It is a school that serves a lot of families from the surrounding villages. The building is spread out a bit, and we have a decent amount of space for the students to move around. It isn't a brand-new facility, so you might see some wear and tear on the walls and the floors. We have classrooms for various ages, and the hallway is usually quite busy during the morning break. The teachers here are mostly local people who have a good understanding of the community. We follow the central curriculum, but the way we do things is very informal and down-to-earth. We don’t have a lot of high-tech gadgets in the rooms, just the usual desks and chalkboards. Outside, there is some green space where the kids can run around, although it gets a bit muddy when the rains come. People in Koottanad know the school well because it’s been a fixture here for some time. We don’t do a lot of advertising; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been here and everyone knows someone who goes to school here. It’s a practical place with a lot of noise and activity throughout the week. We just focus on getting the kids through their exams and making sure they follow the rules. It’s a standard, everyday school for our local area in Palakkad.
