Ayodhyapragati Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is mostly made up of women from around Sedpur and Maholi who wanted to do something for ourselves with our farming. We use a space at Ram Kumar’s place to keep our things organized. It’s a simple setup, and most of us are more comfortable out in the fields than sitting at a desk. We grow different things depending on the time of year, and we try to help each other out when someone’s crop isn't doing so well. It’s hard to balance the farm work with everything else we have to do at home, but having this company makes it a bit easier to handle the selling part of it. We don’t have a big marketing team, just our own voices and the quality of what we grow. Sometimes the meetings get a bit loud because everyone has their own opinion on how things should be done, but we usually figure it out in the end. We’re just regular women trying to make sure our children have a better future by getting the best we can for our harvests. You won't find any shiny signs or offices here, just people working hard and trying to stay ahead of the bills. It’s a community thing more than a business thing, really. We just take it one day at a time and hope the weather stays on our side so we can keep providing for our families every year.
