Shg Sewa Sansthan

Shg Sewa Sansthan is located right behind Alha Chowk. It’s a well-known spot in the area, so we are pretty easy to find if you’re familiar with the neighborhood. We’ve been operating from this location for a while, focusing on our daily community work. The office is a modest setup. It's not a place with shiny furniture or big signs. Mostly, it’s just a space where we meet and talk about what needs to get done. We spend a lot of time working with people from the local community. There are always people coming in and out, sharing ideas or asking for help with different things. It can get a bit loud and crowded at times, but that’s because there is always something going on. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so we just make do with what we have. It’s about the people here, not the building. We focus on self-help groups and helping others get on their feet. Every day is a bit different. One day we might be doing paperwork, and the next we might be out meeting folks in the streets. We’ve lived and worked around Alha Chowk for years, so we know the faces of the people who live here. It’s a very local effort. We don't try to be something we're not; we're just a group of people trying to do some good work in our own corner. It takes time and patience but we are happy to be here.
