You can find Jfm’S Masala Udhyog over at the Iscon Industrial Estate, specifically at number 98. We are right by the Nugar Bypass in Mahesana. If you’re driving that way, the bypass is always busy, but once you turn into the estate, it’s a bit more organized. We are an OPC, so it’s a tight operation run by a small group. We deal in masalas, and as you can imagine, our unit has a very strong scent of spices all the time. Sometimes the chili powder in the air makes everyone sneeze, but we’re used to it by now. We have our grinding machines and mixing vats set up in a way that makes sense for how we work. It’s not a high-tech lab, just a good, solid workspace where we make spices for everyday cooking. We spend our mornings checking the raw spices that come in from the markets and our afternoons packing them into bags. The Nugar Bypass area is a good spot for us because it makes it easy to send our products out to other towns. We don’t have a big corporate story to tell. We just wanted to make masalas that people would actually use in their homes. The floor is usually covered in a fine dust of spices, and we spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the day. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
