C.C.Mahila Arts & Sheth C.N. Commerce College

Our college sits right on Station Road in Visnagar, which is quite handy if you are coming in by train. We use Post Box No 22 for all our mail because that’s just how things have been done here for years. It is an arts and commerce place, so we have a mix of students studying everything from old literature to modern accounting. Gujarat gets very hot in the summer, and you can really feel it in the hallways during the afternoon sessions. We have been here in Visnagar for quite some time now. The building has some age to it, but it stays standing and serves the purpose. Most of the staff live nearby, so we see each other at the market or the station sometimes. It’s a local community feeling where everyone knows whose kid is studying which subject. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or big speeches. Mostly, we just make sure the registers are signed and the exams happen on the right dates. If you walk past the gates, you’ll hear professors talking about history or economics. The commerce side is always busy with students doing math and talking about business. It is just a normal college where people come to get their degrees and move on with their lives. We take the mail from the box, answer the phone when it rings, and keep the gates open for whoever needs to come in.
