It's a bit of a rural spot but that's where the work happens. Strawberries are a tricky crop to handle. They are delicate and they don't last very long if you aren't careful. Vijapur has some good land for this sort of thing. We have a small group of workers who help out during the harvest. It’s a busy time and everyone is on their feet for hours. We are a private limited company but it feels more like a family setup. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. It's just a place to get the work done and store the berries before they go out. Sometimes the transport is a problem because the roads can be rough. We have to pack everything very carefully so nothing gets squashed before it reaches the market. It’s a lot of effort for something that gets eaten so fast. But we enjoy the process. We are just local people doing our best with the land we have. It's honest work.
