Shiv Metal Perforators

Our workshop, Shiv Metal Perforators, is situated in the IMT Bawal area. We are quite close to the Delhi Jaipur Highway, so we hear the constant hum of the long-distance buses and trucks going past all day and night. It’s an industrial township, so everything around us is pretty much workshops and warehouses. Our place isn't anything special to look at. It’s a sturdy shed where we keep our machines and the raw metal sheets. The ground is always a bit oily, and the sound of the hammers and presses can be quite loud if you aren't used to it. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us just wipes the grease off our hands and picks it up. We do our work, take our breaks when the sun is at its peak, and keep the doors open for the breeze. The area is growing fast, but we still feel like a small local operation. Most of the people who work here live in the nearby villages and commute in on bikes. We know each other well and there’s no hierarchy. We just work together to get the orders ready. It’s hot, loud, and messy work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just stay focused on the metal in front of us and let the highway noise fade into the background.
