About Ram Harsh Intermediate College – Education in Maharajganj
Siswa Road stays pretty busy, and we are right there in the middle of it in Nichalaul. This college is one of those places where the walls have seen a lot of students come and go over the years. It’s not some high-tech building with glass walls; it’s mostly just brick and concrete that stays cool enough during the Gorakhpur summers. You can hear the buses and tractors passing by outside while the classes are going on. We have a routine that hasn't changed much in a long time. The staff room is always a bit cluttered with papers and tea cups. Some of the benches in the classrooms are a little wobbly, but we fix them with a few nails when someone complains. Being out here in this part of the district means we get a lot of kids from the surrounding villages. They walk or cycle in, often covered in a bit of dust from the road. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open the gates in the morning and do the work. The playground is a bit uneven, but it’s where the kids spend their breaks. It gets quiet in the evenings once the last bus leaves for Gorakhpur. It’s just a regular local college trying to keep things running properly for the community around Nichalaul. We focus on the books and the exams without making too much of a fuss about it.
