Harpur Kisan Producer Company Limited is based right here in Harpur, Peppeganj. We run things from Digvijai Pratap Singh’s place. It’s a typical setup for this part of Gorakhpur, nothing too flashy or complicated. We all grew up here, watching the seasons change and working the dirt. Getting this producer company started was just a way for us locals to have a bit more say in how our produce gets handled. It’s not always easy keeping everyone on the same page, but we manage. You’ll usually find a few of us hanging out, talking about the latest harvest or what the government is doing this week. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We are just people from the village who understand that we’re stronger if we pool our resources. The office, if you can even call it that, is mostly a place to keep the books and meet up. Life in Gorakhpur moves at its own pace, and we’re fine with that. We deal with the bugs, the heat, and the long walks to the market every day. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. If someone needs help with their crop, they know where to find us. We’re just trying to make a go of it like everyone else in Harpur. There isn't much more to it than that. We just show up and do the work that needs doing.
