Vashmi Xerox Center

My shop is at 1-9 in Vemnoor. It’s just a small Xerox center where I spend most of my day standing behind the counter. I have a couple of machines that usually work okay, though sometimes they get a paper jam that takes a while to fix. People from the village come in to get their ID cards copied or to print out some forms they need for school or work. It’s not a big place, just enough room for the machines and a small desk where I sit. I keep some pens and paper for sale too because people always seem to forget those. The light in the shop is a bit dim and it can get dusty being right on the road. I see the same faces every week. It is a quiet way to make a living. I don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. Usually, people just know I’m here by the sign out front. Sometimes it gets busy when the exams are coming up and students are all in a rush. Other days I just sit and wait for someone to walk in. I do some lamination too if the machine is warmed up. It is just me running things here at Vemnoor. I try to keep the prices fair so the local folks keep coming back. That’s pretty much all there is to it. I just open up in the morning and stay until evening.
