Lahari Modren Rice Mill

We run the Lahari Modren Rice Mill over in Chelpur. The address is H. No: 1-90/1, and we are on survey number 833/B. This is in the Mulugu Ghanpur area. It’s a rural spot where farming is everything. The mill is a big, solid building that gets very loud when the machines are running. We spend our days covered in rice hulls and dust. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy bags and checking the moisture in the grain. We aren't a big company with a board of directors. It’s just a few of us making sure the paddy gets processed right for the local farmers. The name says modern, but we still rely on a lot of old-fashioned hard work. We’ve had the mill here for several years. During the peak harvest time, we work late into the night. You can hear the hum of the engines from across the fields. Sometimes the equipment breaks down and we have to fix it ourselves with whatever tools we have. It’s frustrating, but that’s how it goes. Chelpur is a quiet village otherwise. We know the people who bring their crops to us. We give them a fair price and they keep coming back. It’s a simple arrangement. We don't have a website or a fancy logo. We just have the mill and the daily work.
