Sri Manikanta Industries

We spend a lot of time out here in Shad Nagar. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, being near Shemshabad and all that. The sun hits the roof of the sheds pretty hard by noon. We’ve been at Survey No 89-90 for a while now. Most days it is just about getting the machines running right and making sure the floor is clear for the next load. People stop by and ask for directions because the area can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of things to do. The dust comes in when the wind picks up, which is annoying. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait a bit. It’s just how things go in Mahaboobnagar Dist. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning everywhere. It’s mostly just the sound of the equipment and us shouting to be heard over it. We get the work done and go home. Some of the guys have been here since we started. It’s not a glamorous job but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We see the same faces every morning at the tea stall nearby. That’s our routine. Nothing more to it really. We just show up at Sri Manikanta Industries and start the day. There are always repairs to be done and parts to be ordered. It never really ends once you get going.
