Ranjana Poultry Farms

Out in Kakunoor Village, specifically at Sy. No. 234 and 243/Aa, you’ll find Ranjana Poultry Farms. It’s a busy place, especially early in the morning when the birds start waking up. We’re located in the Keshampet Mandal area of Mahaboobnagar District. The farm is basically my life. We have several sheds where we keep the chickens. It’s a lot of work keeping everything clean and making sure they have enough water and feed. My boots are always caked with something. We deal with local shops and some families who come out this way to get fresh eggs. It gets pretty hot out here during the summer months, and we have to work hard to keep the birds cool. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the daily chores. Sometimes the prices for feed go up, and that makes things tough for a bit. My family helps out when they can. It’s not an easy job, and the smell is something you have to get used to, but it’s honest work. We’ve been at this location for a good while now. The village is quiet, which I like. We just keep our heads down and take care of the livestock as best as we know how. There's always a fence to fix or a bag of grain to move around. It keeps us busy from sunrise until it gets dark. We don't have much time for anything else.
