Our place is at No 113 on West Avani Moola Street. It’s tucked away a bit, right behind Thangamayil Jewellery, so if you aren't looking closely you might walk right past us. We’ve been operating out of this building for quite some time now. It’s a lot of work keeping things organized, especially when the new crates arrive and there is nowhere to put them. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people shouting, but inside it’s just us doing our daily tasks. We don't have a big sign or anything like that, just the address 625001 on the door. I usually get here early to sweep up and check what we ran out of the day before. The afternoon slump is real, especially when it’s humid and the fan just moves the warm air around. We mostly deal with other local businesses and people who have been coming to us for years. It’s not a glamorous job, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. Sometimes I think about painting the walls, but then we get a big delivery and the idea just goes away. It’s a practical space for practical work. We know the neighbors well and we all kind of look out for each other on this stretch of West Avani Moola Street. Nothing special, just a regular Madurai business doing what we do every day.
