If you're looking for us, we are right at 85-G Kamarajar Salai. It is easy to spot because we are right opposite to Alankar Theatre. You can usually hear the music or the crowds from the movies when the shows let out. It gets pretty loud out there sometimes, especially on weekends. The shop itself is packed with boxes and hardware. We try to keep things organized but when a big shipment comes in, there’s stuff everywhere on the floor for a bit. Most of the day is just dealing with walk-ins. Someone needs a cable, someone else has a laptop that died. We have a small desk near the front where we do the paperwork and take the calls. The fan in the ceiling makes a bit of a clicking noise but we’re used to it by now. The light comes in from the front glass door mostly. We’ve been in this spot for a bit and the neighbors are all okay folks. Sometimes we go across the street for snacks when there’s a break in the customers. It’s a tight space with shelves all the way to the top. We spend a lot of time on ladders reaching for things. The floor is tile and it gets dusty quick with the traffic from the road. It’s just how it is around here. We stay open until the street lights come on and the theater gets quiet.
