V Care Hydraulics

If you go down to Arapalayam near the bus stand, you’ll find us at number 46. V Care Hydraulics is right in the middle of all that noise. The buses are always coming and going, so there is constant dust in the air. We spend most of our time covered in hydraulic fluid and oil. It’s messy work fixing pumps and jacks, but someone has to do it. The shop is full of metal parts and old machines that we use for repairs. We don't have a lot of space for customers to sit, just a couple of plastic chairs near the entrance. Most people just drop off their equipment and come back later. My hands are almost always black from the grease, even after I wash them. We’ve been at this location for years now. The tea seller next door knows our order by heart. Sometimes we work late into the night if a customer really needs their machine back for work the next morning. It’s not a glamorous job, but it pays the bills. We don't use any fancy computers to diagnose problems, we just look at the parts and see what’s broken. It's a lot of trial and error sometimes. We just keep at it until the thing works again. It’s a noisy, busy life here by the bus stand. We are just a few guys who know how to fix things that leak or don't lift like they should.
