Uvm Architects

Uvm Architects is located over at No.6 in Balarengapuram. We are right on GG Road, which stays pretty busy most of the day. Madurai is a city that never really sleeps, and being in Balarangapuram means there is always something happening outside our door. We’ve been working from this office for some time now. It’s a simple place, nothing too fancy, just enough space for our drafting tables and computers. We spend our days thinking about buildings and how they fit into the local streets. It’s not always easy work, and sometimes we stay late when a project needs finishing. The sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon, so it gets a bit warm, but we’re used to the Madurai heat by now. We don't really do the whole big marketing thing. Most people hear about us from someone else in the neighborhood. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the measurements are right. It’s about being precise and listening to what someone wants for their space. We’ve seen the city expand quite a bit from our vantage point on GG Road. There’s a lot of history in Madurai, and we try to respect that while doing something new. It’s just us, working away in our corner of the city, trying to do a decent job for the people who walk in. We hope the work speaks for itself without us having to say much.
