You can find Thavasi Stores on Thiruvengadapuram Main Road in Madurai. We are quite close to Sangeeth Plaza, so it is easy to spot us. The shop isn't very large, but we make use of every inch of wall space for shelving. We carry the usual kitchen supplies, some stationary, and household items. The heat in Madurai can be a lot, so we have a few coolers inside for the drinks. Most of the people who come here live in the Goripalayam area. They usually stop by for a few things they forgot to buy elsewhere. We spend a lot of time rearranging the jars and packets so everything looks somewhat tidy. It’s not a perfect setup, but it works for us and the customers. We’ve been at this 625002 address for a good while. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find parking near the shop because the road is so busy. We just help them unload quickly. We don't have any corporate rules; we just treat everyone like a neighbor. If someone is short a few rupees, we usually tell them to bring it next time. It’s a community thing.
