You can find us at Naikkanpatti, specifically at No.3/149 on the Sivadhapuram Root. This is where we run Subasri Silk and Fabrics. Since we are an OPC, which is a one-person company, it’s a very small and personal operation. I started this because I have a real interest in silk and how it's made. We don't have a big team or a large office. It's just a simple place where we store our fabrics and handle the business side of things. Naikkanpatti is a quiet place, which is nice when you need to focus on the fine details of silk. We spend a lot of time checking the weave and the colors of the fabric. It’s a lot of slow work, but that’s what silk requires. We don't do any flashy advertising or try to sound bigger than we are. We are just a local business in Tamil Nadu trying to do something we know. Sometimes it’s just me working here, and other times I have a bit of help. We deal with people directly and try to be as straightforward as possible. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to keep the shop open and provide some good fabric to the people who ask for it. I usually start my day with a cup of tea and a look at the orders for the week. It helps me stay organized even when things get a bit overwhelming with the silk work. That's just how the days go here.
