Sri Peiryandavar Store & General

We are situated in Kottampatti, Melur, right on the Trichy Main Road. Being on a main road like this means we see a lot of different people. Some are just passing through Madurai on their way to Trichy, while others are locals who have lived here forever. Our store is a bit of a mix of a grocery place and a general store. We keep snacks, cool drinks, and basic medicines alongside the regular bags of rice and flour. It gets very noisy with the buses and lorries zooming past outside, but we are used to it by now. The shop is quite deep, so it stays a little cooler in the back where we keep the bulk items. We don't really have a team or anything; it’s just us working behind the counter. Sometimes the delivery guys leave the crates right in the middle of the floor, and we have to scramble to move them before a customer trips. We don't have a website or anything corporate like that. We just rely on the fact that we've been on this corner for a long time. People stop their bikes, grab what they need, and head out. We try to keep a good stock of everything because you never know what someone might ask for when they're on a long drive. It’s just honest work, keeping the shelves stocked and the change ready.
