Simra Glass Designer is right here on West Masi Street in Madurai Main. If you know the area, it is usually quite busy with people and traffic moving through at all hours. We have been in this spot for a while now, surrounded by other shops and the general noise of the city. Working with glass is a bit different than other jobs. There is a lot of measuring and cutting that goes on inside these walls every day. You spend most of your time looking at edges and making sure everything fits just right. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty from the work, and there are tiny pieces of glass everywhere that we have to keep sweeping up. People stop by to ask about windows or mirrors or just to see what we are doing in the back. It is not a fancy place, just a workspace where things get done. We handle the heavy sheets and the small decorative bits too. When the sun hits the shop through the front, you can see all the patterns we are working on. It’s a lot of manual labor, really. Sometimes our hands get tired from using the tools, but that is just how it is when you work with your hands. We are just part of the local scene here in Madurai, keeping things moving and helping out the neighbors when they need something glass-related fixed or made for their homes. Nothing too complicated, just daily work on West Masi Street.
