Shri Jaya Sakkthi Spinner (India) Private Limited

We've been here at Chokkanathar Street for a while now. It's D.No. 37. Mostly we handle the spinning work here. It gets loud with the machines running all day, but that's just how it is in this trade. People around here know us for what we do. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just the workshop and the guys working the floor. Sometimes things get busy and we’re running around trying to keep up with the orders. It’s a lot of thread and yarn everywhere. We started small and just kept at it. There’s always something to fix or a machine that needs oiling. We just focus on getting the spinning done right so the next person in the chain can do their part. It's steady work. My father used to say that if you keep the spindles turning, the rest takes care of itself. We don't spend much time on the computer or making things look pretty. If you come by, you'll see the bags stacked up. It’s just an honest day's work. We’ve had some of the same workers for years. They know the rhythm of the place. It isn't always easy, especially when the power cuts out or parts are late, but we manage. Just a regular business on a regular street. We’re not trying to change anything, just keeping the spindles moving. It's what we know how to do and we keep doing it every day.
