Selvarani Store

Selvarani Store is our family business located at 65, R.S.R. Nagar, right on the Kattalaipatti Road. It is a very convenient spot for the families living in this colony. We have been here for many years now. The store isn't very large, but we pack it full of the things people use in their homes every day. From cooking oil and spices to small toys and snacks for the kids, we try to keep it all in stock. The road outside can get quite busy during the morning school rush, but things usually quiet down in the heat of the afternoon. That is usually when I take a short break or catch up on the bookkeeping for the week. We don't have any fancy computerized systems here. Everything is still written down in a big ledger book. It works well enough for us. My mother, Selvarani, started this place long ago, and we have kept it going under her name. Most people in R.S.R. Nagar know our family well. We often have long chats with the customers about the local news or how the rain is affecting the crops. It is more than just selling things; it is about being a part of this community. The shelves are getting a bit old, and the paint is peeling in a few corners, but the store is always clean. We don't do any big promotions. We just open the shutters and wait for neighbors to come by.
