Sai Traders

We are located right on Madurai Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there is always a lot of dust and the sound of horns blowing throughout the day. Sai Traders is basically a large room filled with whatever stock we have at the moment. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name on the front. Most of the work involves unloading items and putting them on the shelves, then taking them down again when someone buys them. It’s a repetitive kind of job, but it keeps us busy. The floor is just plain cement and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't affect the business. We keep a ledger on a small wooden desk near the entrance. Sometimes the heat on Madurai Road is almost unbearable, so we have a few old fans that rattle while they spin. Customers come in and out, mostly locals who know what they need. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just find the items and handle the cash. There’s usually a few crates stacked near the door waiting to be picked up. It’s a simple way to make a living. We’ve been on this road for quite some time now, and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we just keep doing what we do. The rain sometimes leaks through the front door if the wind is strong, but we just use a mop and keep moving.
