Rps Maligai Store

Our shop, Rps Maligai Store, is located at 1/45 in Kangarmpettai. We are right in the Madurai Bazaar area, specifically on Natham Main Road. As you can imagine, it is a very loud and busy place to be. There are always people moving around and vehicles honking their horns. We sell mostly grocery items like dhal, rice, tamarind, and different oils. Madurai is famous for its markets, and we are just one small part of that. The shop is quite narrow, so we have to be clever about how we store everything. We have bags of grains stacked up in the back. Customers come in throughout the day, some just for a single item and others for their whole week's supply. We have a lot of regulars who have been coming to us since we first opened. Natham Main Road is always under some kind of repair or just full of traffic, which brings in a lot of dust. We do our best to keep the glass jars clean so people can see the snacks inside. It is a lot of standing on your feet all day, but that is the nature of a maligai store. We don't have any corporate office or fancy staff, just us working the counter and helping people find what they need for their kitchens. It is honest work in a busy bazaar. We close up once the street gets a little quieter late in the evening. It's just a regular shop for everyday people.
