Pandiya Nadu Store

Pandiya Nadu Store is right on Vatta Pilaiyar Kovil Street in Sholavandan. We are sitting directly opposite the Van Stand, which makes it a very busy spot throughout the day. There are always vans coming and going, and drivers popping in for a quick soda or some betel nut. We also get a lot of people who are visiting the temple nearby. The shop is small and has a bit of an old-fashioned feel to it. We don't have any air conditioning or fancy glass counters. It’s just us and our wooden shelves filled with daily necessities. We sell things like matches, oil, salt, and various snacks. Sometimes when it rains, the street gets quite flooded, and we have to put some boards at the door to keep the water out. It’s just one of those things you deal with when you have a shop in an old part of town. We’ve seen many changes in Sholavandan over the years, but our store remains pretty much the same. We know the regular van drivers by name, and they often stop to share some gossip or tell us about the traffic. It’s a noisy, lively place to work. We don't have big ambitions to grow into something huge. We are just happy to be a part of the daily life here and to serve the local community.
