Ons Export

We spend most of our time here at Plot 52 on Sevanthi Street, which is right across from the SBI branch in Villapuram. It’s a busy spot especially in the mornings when the bank opens up and people start parking their bikes all over the place. Ons Export is really just a group of us working out of this space, dealing with various goods that need to get sent out to different places. The office usually has piles of boxes or samples sitting around on the floor because we are always in the middle of sorting something. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running high and usually someone goes out to get tea for everyone around four. We’ve been in this part of Villapuram for a while now and most of the neighbors know us by name. It’s not a very fancy setup, just some desks and shelves and a lot of logbooks stacked up. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with delivery trucks trying to turn around, but we manage somehow. We handle all the paperwork and packing ourselves, making sure things are labeled right before they leave. It’s honest work and keeps us on our feet throughout the day. You can usually find one of us here from early morning until late evening depending on how many orders are going out that week. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but you can’t miss it once you’re near the bank.
