Wood House

Wood House is located on Periyar Street in the Goripalayam area. If you know the neighborhood, you know it can be a bit crowded and loud, but it has a lot of character. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The building is older and has its quirks, like a door that sticks in the rainy season and windows that don't quite shut all the way. We do a lot of wood-related work here, as the name suggests. It’s not a high-tech facility by any means. We have our saws, our hammers, and a couple of sturdy workbenches that have seen better days. The street outside is always full of life, with vendors and people heading towards the main parts of Goripalayam. We usually keep the front open to let the breeze in, though it also lets in the dust. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy descriptions of what we do. We just take the wood and turn it into something useful for the people who come in. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front during the slow hours and just watch the world go by on Periyar Street. It’s a simple existence and we don't ask for much more than a steady stream of work to keep us busy. The local tea shop is just three doors down, which is where we spend most of our breaks.
