Murugan Store

Murugan Store is located right on Vaigai Road in the Samayanallur part of Madurai. We have been in this same spot for a long time, and the shop is a big part of my life. It is a simple place where we sell groceries and common household items. You will find different types of rice, cooking oils, and plenty of snacks for the local children. The building is old and has a roof that makes a lot of noise when it rains, but it keeps us dry. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights like the big stores in the city. Everything is just kept in plastic bins or on plain wooden shelves. We open up very early in the morning when the milk arrives and we stay open until it gets dark. Most of our customers are people from the nearby houses who we have known for years. Sometimes we run out of small change, so we have to ask people to bring the exact amount if they can. The dust from the road is always a problem, so we are constantly cleaning the glass jars and the counter. It is a family-run business, and we take turns watching the shop. We don't do any advertising or anything like that because everyone around here already knows where we are and what we have. It is just a normal, everyday shop for normal people.
