Our place is at number 45 on Keelakadai Street. It’s right near where Ramamoorthy Road crosses through. It’s a tight street with a lot of shops packed together. We’ve been operating Mm Store from this spot for quite a few years. It’s mostly just shelves and sacks of grains. We don't have much room for walking around, but we know where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific brand of tea, we can usually pull it out from the back in a few seconds. My uncle started this place, and I took over later on. It’s a lot of work, especially when the new stock arrives and we have to carry everything inside by hand. The street is always noisy with bikes and people shouting, but that’s just how it is on Keelakadai. We get a lot of regulars who stop by on their way home. We sell mostly daily essentials. No fancy gadgets or anything like that. Just the things a kitchen needs. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if people are still out and about. We use a simple notebook to keep track of what we owe the suppliers. It’s not a high-tech operation. Just a local store trying to stay busy and serve the folks on this side of town. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the front door, but we just put a bucket there and keep going.
