Malar Kodi Stores

Malar Kodi Stores is situated at No 12 on East Nappalayam Street. This is part of the East Masi Street area in Madurai 625001. It’s a lively neighborhood where everyone seems to know what everyone else is doing. Our shop is not very fancy. We have blue walls that are starting to flake a little, and the shelves are packed tight with everything we need to sell. There’s a specific way you have to walk through the aisles so you don't knock anything over. I spend a lot of my time just reorganizing things that got moved during the day. We don't use any complicated systems, just a pen and a notebook to keep track of what’s going out. Sometimes the rain in Madurai comes down so hard that we have to pull the shutters halfway down to keep the water from splashing in. It’s a small place, but it keeps us busy from morning till night. We don't have any slogans or big promises. We just open up, do the work, and go home. Most of our neighbors are also running small shops, so we all help each other out when someone needs change or a bit of help moving a heavy box. It’s just a regular life in a regular part of town. We are happy to be here. The street outside can get a bit loud with the motorbikes, but you get used to it after a while.
